Summer is in full swing and we can finally take a breath.
Most of us parent in the moment, we need to get our kids out the door in the morning ready for school, we’re off to work or looking after little ones, then we are running around taking our children to after-school clubs and play-dates, dinner time, bath time and finally into bed. It’s exhausting. Then it starts all over again the next day!
Summer is a great time to take a break and focus on what really matters in raising our children in the long term.
What kind of parent do I want to be?
What qualities are important to me in raising my children?
What are our family rules?
What are our family values?
These kinds of questions, make us, as parents, look at the bigger picture and not get bogged down in the day to day.
I would love to hear your answers to these questions and how they have helped you focus on what is important for your family.
